A Big Change: No More Resort Shuttle

The single most important thing to know if you're driving to the Anaheim Convention Center right now: Anaheim Resort Transportation, the shuttle system that carried roughly 8.2 million riders in 2024 alone, ceased all operations on March 31, 2026 (Hoodline; rideart.org). No confirmed replacement system was running as of the shutdown. That means more attendees are driving or using rideshare than in past years, adding pressure to Katella Avenue and the Convention Center's own parking.

WonderCon and the NAMM Show

WonderCon, the pop-culture and comics convention, runs March 27-29, 2026, drawing an estimated 60,000-70,000 attendees across its three-day run into a 412,000-square-foot exhibit hall with more than 900 exhibitors (Popverse). The NAMM Show, the music products industry's flagship trade show, runs January 20-24, 2026, marking its 50th anniversary in Anaheim and drawing more than 60,000 attendees, including over 8,760 international visitors from 122 countries and more than 1,650 exhibitors, a 25% increase year over year (ProSoundWeb). NAMM and Visit Anaheim have extended their agreement through 2030.

Beyond those two anchors, the Convention Center hosts Natural Products Expo West (its 45th annual edition runs March 3-6, 2026, the largest natural and organic products trade show in North America), plus recurring events including BlizzCon, the biennial D23 Expo, and VidCon. Visit Anaheim reports 142 conventions, meetings, and events secured for 2026, projecting roughly 600,000 room nights and $1.74 billion in economic impact (Visit Anaheim).

Parking

For major shows like WonderCon and the NAMM Show, the standard event-day rate is $25 per vehicle per day, extending to official overflow lots, including the Toy Story lot, until capacity (NAMM parking guide). Anaheim GardenWalk also offers a $20 all-day validated alternative. With ART's shutdown, parking demand at the Convention Center and nearby resort-area lots has increased, so arriving early is more important than in past years.

Getting There by Air

John Wayne Airport (SNA) in nearby Santa Ana is the closest major airport, roughly 15 minutes' drive under light traffic. LAX is the secondary option for international connections, about 34 miles and 40 minutes away.
