Live Cams Around Empower Field at Mile High
Watch I-25, Federal Boulevard, and Colfax Avenue before a Denver Broncos game at the stadium that sits exactly one mile above sea level. Free live feeds from CDOT and COtrip, refreshed 24/7.
VIEW EMPOWER FIELD LIVE CAMS →Empower Field replaced the original Mile High Stadium (the Broncos' home from 1968 to 2000) and opened in August 2001. The elevation claim is not marketing rounding: the stadium sits at exactly 5,280 feet above sea level — the mile-high mark itself.
Two things make getting here unusual, and both are worth knowing before you drive.
TrafficVision aggregates live camera feeds from CDOT and COtrip covering I-25 and the Denver network. All 950+ Colorado cameras are free to view, no account required.
The Carpool Lot Is Cheaper Than the Tailgate Lot
Empower Field's parking structure contains a genuine rarity in the NFL — an explicit demand-management lever, priced to work:
| Lot | Rate | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Lot C | $55 | Early tailgate access |
| Lot A | $45 | Carpool only — 4+ occupants. No tailgating. |
| ADA Lot L | $35 | — |
| Lots D & G | $40 | — |
Lot A requires four or more people in the car and costs $10 less than the tailgate lot. Most stadiums that offer carpool parking treat it as a virtue signal parked at the back of the site. Denver made it cheaper and closer.
All parking is credit card only — no cash, stadium-wide. Season permits are sold out.
Staggered Lot Openings — and They Sell Out Fast
- Lot C opens 6 hours before kickoff
- All other lots open 4.5 hours before kickoff
Lot C typically sells out 30 to 60 minutes after opening. Lots overall sell out within roughly 2 hours. Offsite parking (Ball Arena, Auraria Campus, Denver Aquarium, Riverside Church) opens about 4 hours before kickoff.
If you don't have a permit and you're not there early, you are not parking on site.
Approach Corridors to Empower Field
I-25 northbound — Exit 210C
Southern approach cams
Exit 210C to 17th Avenue. The primary route from south Denver, the Tech Center, and Colorado Springs.
I-25 southbound — Exit 211C
Northern approach cams
Exit 211C to 23rd Avenue, then Bryant Street to Mile High Stadium Circle. The route from Boulder, Fort Collins, and the northern suburbs.
Federal Boulevard
Western approach cams
Borders the stadium on the west side. Jams near kickoff.
Colfax Avenue
Southern lot approach cams
Serves the southern lots. Colfax is one of Denver's main east-west arterials and carries its own baseline traffic.
Rideshare: Drop-Off and Pickup Are 15 Minutes Apart
Another thing that catches people out. Drop-off is at the northeast corner near Gate 5. Pickup is at 5th and Walnut — in the Ball Arena lot, a roughly 15-minute walk from the stadium.
That's a deliberate egress-management choice, and it means the ride you book at the final whistle is not waiting where you got out.

VIEW LIVE CAMS →RTD Light Rail — Two Stations, One Stadium
Empower Field is served by RTD light rail E and W lines across two separate stations: Empower Field at Mile High Station and Decatur-Federal Station. Two stations for one venue is unusual and it meaningfully splits the crowd.
Given that lots sell out within two hours and rideshare pickup is a 15-minute walk away, light rail is the path of least resistance for most Denver-area fans.
The venue itself directs fans to the Broncos app and Waze for lot routing, publishing per-lot Waze links.

BUILD YOUR ROUTE →Weather, Altitude, and Season Timing
Broncos home games run September through January. The altitude is the famous part — visiting teams have complained about it for fifty years — but for getting to the stadium, the relevant fact is the weather that comes with the Front Range. September games play in warm, dry, thin air. December and January games can bring genuine blizzards that close I-25 outright.
Snow on I-25 cuts effective capacity hard, and the Federal Boulevard and Colfax approaches ice over. Empower Field is an open bowl with no roof.
The live camera feeds show current road-surface conditions in real time — which matters more in Denver than in most NFL cities, because the difference between a clear I-25 and a closed I-25 can arrive in an afternoon.

Are there live cams near Empower Field at Mile High?
Yes. TrafficVision aggregates feeds from CDOT and COtrip covering I-25 at Exits 210C and 211C — the two published stadium approaches — plus Federal Boulevard, Colfax Avenue, and the wider Denver network. All 950+ Colorado cameras are free to view with no account required.
Which I-25 exit is best for Empower Field?
It depends on direction. Northbound on I-25, take Exit 210C to 17th Avenue. Southbound, take Exit 211C to 23rd Avenue, then Bryant Street to Mile High Stadium Circle. Federal Boulevard borders the stadium on the west, and Colfax Avenue serves the southern lots. The venue publishes per-lot Waze links and directs fans to the Broncos app for routing.
How does parking work at Empower Field?
All lots are lettered A through Y and all parking is credit card only — no cash, stadium-wide. Season permits are sold out. Lot C opens 6 hours before kickoff at $55 with early tailgate access; every other lot opens 4.5 hours before. Lot A is $45 but requires 4+ occupants and bans tailgating — a genuine rarity, a carpool lot priced $10 cheaper than the tailgate lot. ADA Lot L is $35; Lots D and G are $40. Lot C typically sells out 30-60 minutes after opening, and lots overall sell out within about 2 hours.
Where is rideshare pickup at Empower Field?
Not where you got dropped off. Drop-off is at the northeast corner near Gate 5. Pickup is at 5th and Walnut, in the Ball Arena lot — roughly a 15-minute walk from the stadium. That's a deliberate egress-management choice, so plan for it rather than discovering it at the final whistle.
Is Empower Field really exactly a mile high?
Yes — 5,280 feet (1,610 m) above sea level, the mile-high mark itself, not a rounded approximation. The stadium is served by two separate RTD light rail stations (Empower Field at Mile High Station and Decatur-Federal Station) on the E and W lines. It opened 11 August 2001, replacing the original Mile High Stadium, and has carried four names: Invesco Field, Sports Authority Field, Broncos Stadium at Mile High, and Empower Field since 2019 under a 21-year deal.
